Kamran Riaz
Dr. Kamran Riaz - Experienced Eye Surgeon
Kamran Riaz, MD, is an ophthalmologist with board certification in cornea and refractive surgery. He serves as a clinical associate professor at both the University of Oklahoma and the Dean McGee Eye Institute. Dr. Kamran Riaz formerly operated his own private practice and held academic and clinical positions at the University of Chicago.
Scholarship has long been important to Dr. Riaz. He earned undergraduate degrees, magna cum laude, in history and economics before earning his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He subsequently completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University and his corneal, external disease, and keratorefractive surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Riaz is highly respected for his research and educational endeavors. Beyond his many book chapters and journal articles in ophthalmology, he has coauthored a major textbook and served as a senior editor for another. He has also delivered a range of significant national presentations.
